Unbeet-able Pre-Workout Smoothie

2 ripe frozen bananas

1/2 medium beet

1.5 cups frozen cherries

2 teaspoons maca powder

3/4 cup water or coconut water

optional: 1/2 scoop chocolate plant-based protein powder

  • Wash all produce thoroughly.

  • Place all ingredients in an Omega Blender and blend until smooth.

  • Serve & Enjoy!

Beets are high in nitrates, which help our bodies to better utilize oxygen, which equates to better athletic performance and recovery. Beets are also great for cleansing and detoxifying the liver. Maca powder provides an added boost of energy and helps to improve hormonal balance. If coconut water is added, this ingredient helps to re-hydrate the cells with electrolytes!
